Well, there are some news for today. Let's start with centericq. Today is the third day since the IRC protocol support implementation started. And there is a visible progress. The CVS repository contains the changes that can be easily checked out with the cicqsync script. The idea behind the support for IRC in centericq is the following. It's aim is to provide an option to stay in touch with those people who can only use IRC and spends a lot of time there (as a result :). By now it's able to send and receive private messages, and display a list of users on various channels. The latter is accessible throught the Find/add dialog.

Recently, the area of my responsibility here at Websci includes also interviewing new candidates who applied for positions at our international offices. With a Romanian colleague of mine we interview people through Yahoo in order share our opinions about them with the superia. So, today in the morning we have had an interview with one guy from Peatra Neamt (such a city near here in Romania). After we asked him two questions about C++ he stated that we were not good enough to interview him. His reason was that the questions were too simple for him. Funny.

By the way, the colleague I mentioned above (his name is Mihai Bazon) has made his own web-site which I found to look nice. Today he has put out a detailed news item about the interview we have had in the morning. You can read it here.
