When we are away from home we get much more like ourselves ..I could notice that when I was in Australia and I was there only for a month .Its easy to recognize people by the way they walk on the streets and things like that.Russian people ...I saw them all the time, tall pretty ladies , good looking huge tall guys looking at everyone like they were part of the mafia ( thats a pretty cool look). Its not only about been slav or not .Italians .. you´ll notice them gesturing, talking out loud and laughing much more italian than ever if they are away from home .
I dont know why it happens .Its just does ..

Konst,
It's always nice to know about your life and all the crazy stuff you do or read about, but this time I think you're way off with your suggestion to give up Perl... :-)
Just kidding. However, PHP is a cool scripting language and everything, but I'll never stop programming CGI and almost every script I need in Perl... I guess it's one of those religious things, I know, but hey! what kind of programmer would I be without religious beliefs? :)
Keep up the good work, as always...

Yep, it's acceptable if it's a religious issue for you (read the
"Satanic Bible", btw? ;) Anyway, lemme tell you a joke. The "Give up
Perl?!" question made me remember it. There was a guy who worked as a
clearer of toilets in planes at an airport. Once he was sitting in a
airport canteen and eating something. Obviously he was stinking weird.
And one of passengers came up to him and asked if his work was ok for
him, if he could bear with the smell, and if he ever thought of finding
anther (clearer) job. After hearing this, he man stood up, looked at the
passenger angry, and cried: "WHAT? WHAT DO YOU SAY? LEAVE THE
AVIATION?!" |
